A Message from an Enthusiastic Dad

"As a parent, do you sometimes feel that no matter how many times you try to communicate something to your kid, you're just not getting through? Or you know that things are not working in a particular area, but you're not sure what to do differently?

Well, Sandy has a unique ability to help you see things in a completely different way. Not only can she help you to see the world the way your child sees it; she also has a special way to help you see and draw the good qualities out of your child!

Soon after starting Sandy's parenting class this fall, our family was eating lunch together. My son interrupted my wife and I in mid-conversation for the thousandth time that year. For the thousandth time, I repeated the same, "Son, you need to wait until mommy and daddy are done talking, and then you can have your turn." Seconds later, he was about to interrupt again, but stopped himself. But this time, having learned about giving children specific "undeniable" acknowledgment when they do something right, I said to him "Wow! You were going to interrupt, but you caught yourself!" His face lit up as he was recognized for showing self-restraint. I realized that one powerful recognition of proper behavior was so much more effective than repeating the same old rule over and over again!

This simple, common-sense parenting technique is just one small example of the many skills and insights you will gain from taking Sandy's class.

Whether you're feeling stuck and need some new ideas and approaches to parenting, or are just looking to improve an already healthy parent-child relationship, this class is certain to help you grow closer to your child and find new ways to interact with him or her in a positive, constructive manner."

What adult participants are saying about our
